To monitor the real estate industry using the risk-based approach, the Real Estate Board has introduced the Anti-Money Laundering Risk Assessment Questionnaire. All licensed real estate dealers are required to complete and submit this questionnaire. This video is a step-by-step guide on how to complete the questionnaire. Jamaica has been placed on the "grey list" by international anti-money laundering regulators. Failure of traders to complete this questionnaire will impact the Real Estate Board's compliance assessment and its ability to contribute to the National Risk Assessment (NRA). This will seriously affect the country's compliance with the Financial Action Task Force guidelines and have serious financial consequences for our country. Therefore, the Board may take action against traders who fail to complete this questionnaire in a timely manner.

Dealer employees or dealers acting for another dealer are not required to complete this questionnaire. However, they must assist in gathering information and ensure that their names are included in the questionnaire where required. If dealer employees conduct transactions other than those for the dealer they are acting for, they must complete and submit the questionnaire with information about those additional transactions.
