Learn how to create dependent dropdown data validation lists in Google Sheets and get different dropdown values based on the value of another cell. Basically, the second dropdown depends on the value of the first dropdown. Once we have the first dropdown set up, we will create a dynamic dependent dropdown list based on the value of the first dropdown.

Depending on how your data is configured, there are different ways to accomplish this. If you have a tabular dataset, you may need a different function than if your data is spread across multiple columns. I'll show you two different ways to create the dependent dropdown list, depending on your configuration.
