Google Cloud security can be confusing for newbies, so we're creating a new short series where we'll explain a new GCP security concept each day.

Today's tip is about service account impersonation, a feature that lets you replace access keys with short-lived access tokens. Instead of granting high-level permissions to your users, you grant those permissions to a service account instead. Now your user can generate a temporary access token to impersonate that user account and perform their actions. Once the time expires, their access is revoked.
