Today we take a look at historical gold mining methods using archival material from the late 1930s.
This excellent educational film gives us an insight into the operations of the Homestake Mine in South Dakota over eighty years ago and shows us the methods used to mine, extract, mine and process the ore.
The Homestake Mine was once the deepest and most productive gold mine in North America, producing approximately forty million troy ounces of gold during its operating life.
