Today we have something very special. On this day we are archiving one of the fastest growing and most popular games of the last few years. When I first heard about Genshin Impact, I heard mostly negative opinions about it being a gacha game that is mostly about waifus, so it took me a while to take the plunge and check out what this game is all about.
Now that I've delved into this gaming monster, I can wholeheartedly say that Genshin Impact was one of the best and most entertaining games I've ever played and that many of the negative comments aren't true. The real star of this game is its world and its graphic design. Each character is more beautifully designed than the others and each one is bursting with detail and craftsmanship. The world is so colorful, stylish and beautiful that you just want to keep exploring. Every rock, tree and mountain can be climbed and the freedom you have to explore in this game is fantastic. Every time you find another treasure chest or another upgrade material or another challenge. The music in places like Mondstadt is so relaxing and upbeat that I realized that this game automatically made me happy and relaxed whenever I was in its world. It's an open-world RPG where you can either play hardcore or just take it easy. Want to do some story quests and fight some bosses? You can do that! Want to explore the city and see what secrets you can find on the rooftops or in the alleys? You can do that! How about doing some cooking or crafting? You can do that too. And of course, there are other RPG games where you can do that, but very few to this extent and in such a beautiful world as Genshin Impact.
The thing I feared the most when I started playing the game was the potential grinding and repetition when you have to level up your Adventure Rank to progress in the main story. While there was actually some grinding, which was my least favorite part, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I never had to grind for more than a day, and there were enough activities to gain experience and level up without doing the same thing over and over again. Every time I got to a new location and story arc, I was amazed by the beautiful new landscapes and characters, with Inazuma and especially Sumeru being the ultimate highlights. The writing style and story are also getting better and better, and I love what the writers are doing with the main quest. The time loop story in Sumeru City was one of my favorites, and it easily rivals stories in other triple-A RPG games. And the best part about Genshin Impact is that everything is free to play. Everything you see in this video is free to play and therefore it is one of the best, if not THE best free-to-play game on the market.
You may have noticed how positive I am about this game, and that's because I was shocked by how much I enjoyed this game. What a contrast it was to all the negative things I've heard about it. Probably only those who don't like the anime vibe will dislike Genshin, but for those who are into RPGs and adventure games, Genshin has something for everyone. Genshin Impact is without a doubt the biggest surprise I've had this year, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this game. So join me and Paimon on an epic journey you'll never forget! This particular video will cover the main story all the way up to the Sumeru story arc, and in future videos I'll cover the Fontaine story.
