A cardiac stress test consists of two parts: the stress and the test.
The stress can be either a treadmill or a chemical. The chemicals used are intravenous dobutamine, persantine or adenosine.
The test can be three types: ECG, echocardiogram or nuclear scintigraphy.
The most common combinations are:
–Treadmill ECG: Cost 250
–Chemical Stress Echo: Cost 2,000
–Chemical Stress Nuclear Scan: Cost 5,000 – 8,000
