The 30th celebration of the Essence Festival of Culture, held July 4-7, 2024 in its hometown of New Orleans, was a spectacular event. This milestone gathering featured an impressive lineup of music legends and emerging artists and paid tribute to three decades of black culture and community Tribute.

The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center was a central part of the festivities and hosted several panels that enhanced the festival experience. These panels covered topics such as diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), hair discrimination and reproductive justice, providing attendees with valuable insights and fostered meaningful conversations.
This major celebration of Black joy, art, culture and community continues the legacy of the Essence Festival as a central event for Black culture and empowerment.
