When making drone films, there are some common mistakes to avoid when editing. When making cinematic drone films, the goal is to make sure all of your drone shots are edited perfectly. You want to avoid the beginnings and ends of each drone shot, as you'll usually press record before you start flying and stop recording after the drone has finished. This can result in a lot of start and stop movements and ruin the cinematic look you're going for. Cinematic films tend to have very subtle movements, smooth tracking shots and pans. You may want to consider editing out the parts of your clips where you're setting up each shot, and try to achieve consistent movement and speed in the direction you want to fly.
