Dawn D. Bennett-Alexander is an attorney, associate professor of labor and employment law at UGA, and co-author of the nation's leading labor law text that founded the discipline. Her life's work is based on her belief that each of us is here for a unique purpose and brings the means to fulfill it, including our race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. She believes that part of her mission is to help people understand that our differences should not be perceived as meaningful/"less valuable." She is certain that she was given three daughters to assist her in this mission, and she strives to change the world to accept them as the incredibly wonderful creatures they are. "I believe that we have a responsibility to try in any way we can to change what we don't like about the world." Ultimately, she believes, "It's all about LOVE…" She shares her reflections on her blog, Peaces of My Heart.
