How to use dialogue appendices in a story? What are the most common mistakes writers make with dialogue appendices? There are some confusing and even contradictory rules about punctuation, capitalization, and even verb choice when writing dialogue. However, when you remember that the purpose of dialogue appendices is to support or enhance the dialogue – NOT to distract from it – all the rules start to make a lot more sense!
