Farming your first fusion weapon in Rift mode can be quite misleading given the difficulty of the maps. Just like before Rift mode, some of the easier farms like Alc Labs just aren't very rewarding. Get a Summit Rift campaign weapon and use it until you can replace it with a Summit Rift survival weapon! The DPS says so!
