Subscribe for more DayZ tips: All kindling materials for starting fires can be placed on the ground and lit immediately without sticks or firewood. However, lighting in this way is not a good use of kindling materials as the fire will die down very quickly. Add sticks or wood to make the kindling material work. #dayz
