This is the second video in my series of NPC quest lines. Siegward is definitely an odd character, but his quest is one of the easiest on the list. You'll encounter him throughout the game's main story and he's hard to miss as he appears at various points throughout the game.

The first encounter with him is in the Undead Settlement. You'll encounter him in the room with the elevator as you head towards the Street of Sacrifices. He explains that he can't take the elevator up, so you'll have to use the elevator to go down, then take the elevator back up. Once you're at the top, Seigward should have solved the elevator's inscrutable puzzle, and you should be able to do so too. Jump onto the elevator panel, then roll back so the life goes down without you, then wait for another one to come down, then jump onto it. You should see a wooden ledge as you go up, roll onto it, talk to Seigward, then kill the Fire Demon. Once you defeat Seigward, he will reward you with the /"Toast/" and /"Sleep/" gestures.

The second encounter with Seigward takes place in the Cathedral of the Deep. Open the double doors at the top of the cathedral to allow Patches to enter. Save/leave the area and then head to the bridge that runs across it and gives access to Rosaria's Covenant. There should be Patches in front of it. He dodges you to cross the bridge and as you do he lowers it. Now head to Rosaria's Covenant and you will meet Patches along the way. I have a video tutorial on how to get there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?vzr11Jf5F7rk. When you see Patches, tell him /"You know who I am/" so you can gain access to his shop and then buy Seigward's armor. Next, head to the Purification Chapel bonfire and head outside. Seigward is trapped in a well there, throw his armor down to him and he will reward you with the /"Rejoice/" gesture.

Once you've discovered Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, *DO NOT ENTER THE IRITHYLL DUNGEON* or he will teleport to the Profane Capital and will not be able to grant you the Send Power miracle. Speak to him there and then move on.

Next, you'll want to get the Old Cell Key in the Irithyll Dungeon. It's in the sewer system next to the Mimic Chest just before the Profaned Capital. Once you have the key, head to the Profaned Capital and light the campfire. From here, go down the ladder and out the broken wall and continue through the toxic water area with the centipede monsters. Go up the ladder, then around and up the stairs, and then go to the roof. You'll come across a mage, kill him, then jump through the hole in the wall. Here you can open Seigward's cell door, free him, and he'll reward you with a Titanite Slab.

Next, simply fight Yhorm with Seigward. Make sure Yhorm attacks you most of the time. When you're done, save/quit and his armor, shield, and Stormlord sword should be where he sat down. If he dies at the hands of Yhorm, his armor, shield, and Stormlord sword can be found where he died.
