Juice jacking is a cyberattack that takes advantage of a charging port that also serves as a data connection, usually via USB, to often either install malware or secretly copy sensitive data from a smartphone, tablet, or other computing device.

1. When charging your mobile device in a public place, it is best to use the wall charger to supply power.

2. If you must use the USB port, make sure you use a USB data blocker to protect your confidential data and prevent malware from being installed on your device.
