With the launch of Cubase 13, we've updated our beginner's guide for those of you who have purchased, are planning to purchase, or are considering switching to your current DAW.

In the next 15 videos, Nate Raubenheimer, also known as Protoculture, will guide you through the most important areas of Steinberg's Cubase.

This is a Level 1 beginner course where Nate will show you how to get started with the software, from opening it for the first time, to creating your first beats and sounds, to finishing your first track – all with his expert workflow tips to help you get off to the best possible start.
First, we'll take a look at Cubase 13's audio setup and interface, showing you all the key areas you need to know. Then, we'll add some drums to create the groove. Next, we'll add some synth and bass sounds, as well as transition effects. Finally, we'll arrange the track to create movement and excitement using automation. To do this, we'll add some pads and arpeggio melodies, mix down the track, and export it so it can be played anywhere.

This course uses only standard Cubase plugins. As with all of our courses, we provide additional resources to help you follow the course with ease.
