Welcome to my introductory video on modding Crusader Kings III. This is just a quick peek behind the scenes as I've had very little time to really get into the details!

The first half of the video covers the basics of mod creation for Crusader Kings III, starting with the new Mod Manager in the CK3 launcher and moving on to the new Mod Tools and Distribution Integration that will make creating and sharing mods much faster and easier. I also cover programs that I consider essential for modding Crusader Kings II and III!

I'll then show a sample mod I cobbled together that allows for the generation of some pseudo-random characters and the ability to restart the dynasty with a new head dynast, just to give a quick example of what can be achieved very quickly, easily and cleanly using the CK3 scripting language.

Finally, for more advanced users, we'll dive into the mod files and some base game events, highlighting the key changes I found in my short time reverse engineering the game that differentiate Crusader Kings II from Crusader Kings III.

For new or inexperienced users, the second half might be a bit overwhelming, but don't worry, it's a lot easier than it looks and I plan on making some partial CK3 modding tutorials in the future when we have some documentation ready!
(And a little more experience with the game!)
