Dr. Gregory Ciottone is an American traumatologist and internationally recognized expert in trauma medicine, disaster medicine, and health education whose services are used in over 30 countries around the world.
Throughout his career, Greg's experience has included serving as a flight surgeon for a helicopter rescue system, as an emergency physician in Level 1 trauma centers, and as a disaster responder in over 30 countries around the world. He was the commander of one of the first federal government medical disaster relief teams deployed to Ground Zero during the World Trade Center disaster on September 11, 2001. Greg also led a team following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti and continues to provide humanitarian assistance in that impoverished country. He used these experiences to develop the foundations for a new specialty, disaster medicine, which seeks to define the parameters by which disasters are prepared for and disaster victims are treated.
