Hack number one: Leverage the power of your website. I want you to install Google Search Console today if you don't already have it installed. Once you install Google Search Console, you'll be able to see data on keywords that you're already getting impressions for. Maybe not clicks, but impressions. Those are keywords that you should be targeting and creating content topics around. That will give you tons of ideas, literally dozens if not hundreds.
Second, in Google Search Console, go to Performance and Search Results. Under "Queries" you will see all the keywords that are generating the impressions. I want you to save these keywords in a list and use them to find new ideas. Your goal is to focus on keywords that are ranking higher first and then later deal with the keywords that are not ranking as high.
Hack number two: multiply your keywords with Ubersuggest. So let's say you've searched in Google Search Console for keywords that are on page two, page three, or even page five. I want you to take those keywords and enter them into Ubersuggest. It will then find all the related keywords for you.
Next, I'll click on the SEO Difficulty column and sort these keyword ideas from lowest to highest SEO difficulty. These are all the keywords that are easy to rank for, broken down by the hardest to rank for. You want to target the ones that are easiest to rank for. This will show me the keywords related to branding that have the lowest competition to rank for.
I then select the keywords that are related to my business and that we offer expertise in, because not all keywords are. Then I take those and start creating content around them. Some of them I send to my team to incorporate those keywords into existing posts. Others I create content for new posts. That's how I get all my ideas.
Hack number three: I want you to also find questions that people are asking. Still on Ubersuggest, in the keyword ideas report there is a questions tab. There you will see all the questions that people are asking and searching for on Google.
And you should do this for both low-volume search terms that you know convert really well, and high-volume search terms.
Hack number four: Group keywords into topics. Now when you're writing content, you don't want to create all of the content just for each individual keyword. Some pieces of content can literally cover not just five or ten of those keywords, but hundreds.
Hack number five: finding title ideas. Now I want you to go to frase.io/tools. There you can generate blog titles. There you will find a blog title generator. You just have to enter keywords and the artificial intelligence will help you generate some of these ideas and titles.
If you follow this, you'll have six months' worth of content in just a few days. And start with the easiest goals to achieve. I want you to create content around the keywords that have a lot of traffic and a high CPC. Ubersuggest will show you this. That's the cost per click, which means those keywords will generate more customers and aren't competitive. Start with those keywords and then work your way up to the most difficult ones.
