As Winshuttle script developers, we've found that the more you work with the tool, the easier it is to troubleshoot script problems. In this video, we'll show you how to step through the debugging tool to find different problems that can arise when developing a script.
One of the most common errors is “No batch input”, which can occur for the following reasons:
1. Pop-up screen
When the script encounters a SAP screen, it either does not have the information or did not expect it at that point during execution.
For example, it indicates that a popup or dialog box appeared during execution and therefore threw the script off track.
2. New screen
When a new screen appears for the current record that was not present for the recorded record (different screen flows for different data).
For example, when we fill a field on a screen for certain data/records, a new screen may appear with fields that need to be filled in. Since this new screen sequence was not recorded, the script returns the error.
3. Missing / skipped screen
If the script has recorded a screen, it will not be displayed on certain dates.
For example, the recording is done with a series of screen flows, but for certain data, one of the screens is not displayed by SAP. The script navigates through this screen, which is actually not displayed by SAP, and returns the error.
