The approval process of interlocking systems in all European countries requires compliance with the CENELEC standards EN 50126-1, EN 50126-2, EN 50128 and EN 50129. Elsewhere in the world, these standards are reflected by IEC 62278, IEC 62779 and IEC 62280. Together, they describe the lifecycle process for safety-related rail-based transport systems (GTS). This video provides an introduction to the process to be followed when developing standards-compliant software and explains how automation can help to minimize the overhead involved.
