– As our character roster continues to grow, it has become difficult to group more and more characters into just 5 tiers, so I had to create more. I created tiers D and E, and moved the characters slightly to better differentiate their respective strengths. This is more noticeable in the upper tiers, where previously there were many characters in the SS tier, however this tier is now reserved for only a handful of exceptionally strong characters.
– The relative rating of characters remained the same. This means that a character who was at the bottom of the SS tier in previous entries and is now at the top of the S tier (like Izana) has not lost power or gotten worse. This is just a consequence of what I said in the previous point.
– The viewer is expected to have a little bit of agency when it comes to choosing the right Memoria and equipment for each character. The options presented are some of the strongest and most common builds, but certain fights may require you to combine or make your own decisions. This is especially evident with stun equipment and breakers, where you must decide if it is optimal to use offensive equipment or if you need stun equipment instead.
