Buying tools can be scary for a new mechanic or DIYer. Auto repair tools are VERY EXPENSIVE. In the US, most shops require new mechanics to bring their own tools. I wanted to see if I could build a toolbox for apprentice mechanics or DIYers for under 3500. That's enough tools to get someone started in auto work. Then I'll give it away to one lucky tech student!
