Best way to view all your milestones in Primavera P6 || Easily focus on milestones in the schedule

In this tutorial you will learn the best way to display all your milestones in Primavera P6.

A smart layout shows all of your project milestones together in a single WBS item at the top of the project, allowing your top management to clearly view the main part of your schedule.

You should therefore add a WBS element called “Milestones” at the top of the project.

Copy and paste or move all your project milestones into the WBS item.

If your schedule is more extensive, it would be a tedious task to postpone all your milestones.

Now let's do this in a simple way using global logic.

1. Let's open the new schedule. Before performing any other steps, make a copy of this project.

2. Go to the menu bar, go to Tools and select Global Logic.

3. Click the New button to create a new global change and name it Move Milestones.

4. In the IF field, select one of the following options. Under Parameters, select the Activity Type and under Value, enter the milestone "Start". Click the Add button, select the Activity Type and under Value, enter the milestone "End".

5. In the “Then” field, click the “Add” button, select “WBS” under “Parameters” and the “Milestones” WBS element under “Value”.

6. Click the “Change” button and then click “Apply Changes” in the preview window.

Now you can see all your moved milestones under the WBS item milestones.
