If you're brand new to Age of Sigmar and looking for a quick introduction to the Spearhead rules for beginners, this How to Play Spearhead video is for you! This video will teach you everything you need to know to get started with this fantastic Spearhead format and dive into the new 4th Edition of Age of Sigmar.

Spearhead is a format designed so that you can buy a current Spearhead or Vanguard box and jump into a small and balanced game with those miniatures. That's honestly the biggest selling point here. Spearhead feels like a standalone game rather than just the entry into Age of Sigmar. It's engaging, quick to set up and play and with all the different factions, maps and two boards it certainly has some longevity. Honestly this is a vast improvement on the Combat Patrol format in 40k, which certainly feels more like an afterthought compared to Spearhead. I can pretty much imagine this game having its own tournaments/game nights and I know I would look forward to participating in those in the future.
