Mark Paradies is President of System Improvements and co-developer of the TapRooT® Root Cause Analysis System. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering with a focus on human factors, both from the University of Illinois. Mark served in Admiral Rickover's Nuclear Navy for 7 years and was qualified as an engineer by Navsea 08. Mark has worked with leading companies from around the world to improve their safety, quality, productivity and equipment reliability through the application of advanced root cause analysis.

After retiring from the Navy, Mark served as a manager for Du Pont involved in several process safety initiatives, including developing ideas to improve root cause analysis.

With permission from Du Pont, Mark founded System Improvements in 1988 and worked to change the way problems are solved around the world by training people to use advanced root cause analysis systems.
