It always comes back to the basics of cyber hygiene. "What are you running on your systems? What do you need to run? If you don't need it, why are you running it?" Sometimes making your job easier isn't necessarily the best approach to protecting the entire organization. Understanding what you need and what is running on your systems is part of basic cyber hygiene and ensures you are one step closer to actively protecting your environments from intruders.
