Microsoft is removing the image backup feature from Windows. We will create an image backup using a free third-party alternative.

Using EaseUS Todo to create a backup image
After installing the free version of EaseUS Todo, creating a backup image is very simple: click "Create Backup", select a disk backup, choose your external drive as the destination and click "Back Up Now". The result saved on your external drive is easy to check and can be used to restore individual files or the entire disk.
