This video can be considered a complete alchemy guide that explains all of Ryza 2's new and changed alchemy systems. Although the guide is aimed at beginners, it can prove useful for veterans as well, as it explains all of the different synthesis and crafting systems that have been added to the game. I thought the alchemy system in Atelier Ryza 1 was already solid, so I was quite surprised at how they improved it in the sequel.

I'll cover the basics of alchemy first, then go into more detail about each system one by one. Hopefully, by the end of the video, you'll know the intricacies of alchemy so you can enjoy this game to the fullest!

"The history"
Three years have passed since Ryza's secret grand adventure on Kurken Island. Ryza, the only member of her party to remain on the island, receives a letter from her friend telling of ruins that may be related to alchemy, along with a mysterious request involving a glowing stone. This inspires her to leave the island and venture to the royal capital of Ashra-am Baird. However, Ryza is unaware that this will lead to the start of an imaginative new adventure that will see her unravel the mysteries of the ruins surrounding the royal capital and encounter a strange creature that will change her life.

Ryza can now perform many new actions in the field, including diving underwater, using plants to climb walls, moving through narrow gaps, and using magical ropes to travel between separate areas. These and other abilities allow Ryza to explore different areas and ruins more fully and actively.

Fight your enemies with an improved "Real Time Tactics" combat system that is now faster and more exciting than ever. Quickly switch between characters, choose different skills, and use items at the right moment for optimal results.
■ Simple and user-friendly synthesis!
Take advantage of several new synthesis systems, including the new intuitive "Linkage Synthesis" system that places items into cells called "Material Loops" that allow both new players to easily learn synthesis and experienced players to create unique, customized items. Created items can also be mixed and matched using "Evolution Link" to create entirely new items.
