Power outages can occur at any time and last from a few minutes to several days.

If power has been restored to your home after an extended outage, follow these simple steps to ensure your safety.

If you have been notified that power has been restored to your area but your home is still without power, first check your fuse box.

Check that all switches are turned on. If not, switch them to “On”.

If there is still no power, call the ATCO emergency power hotline and we will send a technician to help you.

If the power outage lasted several days, assume that the food in your refrigerator or freezer is no longer edible.

If you are unsure and need more information, contact Alberta Health Services.

If you have any questions, call our customer service team at 1-800-668-2248. Or, if your power is interrupted, call our 24/7 emergency number at 1-800-668-5506.
