This week, hackers are using an anti-cheat exploit from the popular game Genshin Impact to disable antivirus software and carry out ransomware attacks!

The vulnerable part of the software has been known since 2020 and the anti-cheat exploit allows access to all processes on the device and the ability to terminate processes with administrative privileges on the device. Researchers have reported the issue to the company multiple times in the past but still have not gotten around to fixing the anti-cheat exploit.

Be careful about what games or software you download onto your devices.
