Confined spaces such as slurry tanks can be extremely dangerous to those who enter them. A slurry tank can contain toxic gases and an atmosphere so low in oxygen that the air is unbreathable. Although the hazards associated with confined spaces may be invisible, they can be deadly to those who enter them without proper training, equipment and procedures.
This accident investigation slideshow will help employers and employees identify confined spaces in agriculture and learn about the potential hazards associated with them.
