In this video we talk about tracking time in a bullet journal, notebook or a simple spreadsheet – how it can change your life!

“Time Tracking” was one of the most popular videos of 2018 and I wanted to update it with some new techniques and tools.

But why is time tracking so important? It's a helpful way to understand how you spend your time each day and how it aligns with your goals. I found it very helpful in two specific areas:

First, I have to overcome my own objections to "not having enough time for X" – whether X is writing, videos, exercise, journaling, whatever! When I track my time, I can easily find 30 minutes that I can transform from mindless to meaningful.

Second, I now have a better understanding of how long it takes me to complete certain tasks. This is especially useful at work, but can be useful for anything else too. For example, I learned how much time meal prep and cooking adds to what I consider a "quick meal," or how commuting to and from the gym made workout time almost double.

It sounds obvious in hindsight, but we all think about time in different ways and only really become aware of it when we measure it.

So in today's video we're going to cover: a few simple time tracking techniques, the tools you need or can use to get started, and how you can implement changes in your life based on what you learn from time tracking.
