The new government is expected to unveil a "packed" legislative programme focused on improving living standards by promoting economic growth, the first of the prime minister's five "national renewal missions".
The address – the first throne speech by a Labour government in 14 years – is expected to contain more than 35 bills and proposed legislation, with a focus on improving transport, creating jobs and speeding up housing and infrastructure as Labour seeks to escape Britain's recent cycle of low growth.
