Persuasion. When someone is persuaded, it is amazing how positively things develop. There is talk about psychology, how to persuade someone, about empathy and about the personal development that comes from it.
You probably like to think of yourself as a rational person. When you have to make a decision, you take all the information, make a pros and cons list, and add them up to make the best decision possible. But you are human, and the truth about humans is that we are much more irrational than we would like to admit. Often times, our decisions are based on the smallest irrational things, and often that can be just a few words. That's why in this video:
I want to give you 6 phrases that can turn the tide in your favor when you're trying to persuade someone to do something you might like. While this is no substitute for developing a truly persuasive strategy and no substitute for empathy, start adding these phrases to your vocabulary and I think you'll be surprised at how quickly and how effective they are. The first phrase is when you encounter a gatekeeper and the phrase is simply, "Have you ever made an exception?" I've always used this when trying to get into bars and clubs that were technically full and it's worked pretty well.
0:44 The first persuasion is to make them believe that it won't be a big deal
1:38 A person is more likely to be convinced if you have empathy
2:58 Make sure you are seen in a positive light and work on your psychological skills
4:19 Call her by her name
5:14 Another persuasion tactic is the use of the Yes Ladder
6:45 Use the power of /"because/"
