What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. What's unique about it is that virtually everything on ROBLOX is designed and built by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 8-18 year olds, but is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. Then they can explore ROBLOX – by chatting with others, playing games, or participating in creative Each player also gets their own piece of undeveloped land and a virtual toolbox with which they can design and build anything – be it a drivable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer game of “Capture the Flag” or another creation yet to be seen. This first piece of virtual land is free. By participating and building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn special badges and ROBLOX dollars (“Robux”). In return, they can purchase avatar clothing and accessories, as well as high-quality building materials, interactive components and working mechanisms from the online catalog.
